Diaconate

The Diaconate is the heart and soul of North Church, with responsibilities for the spiritual well being of our Congregation: worship sacrements, visitation, flowers, letter writing, and special care for Congregation members in need. This Board makes sure that we have flowers every Sunday.  Diaconate members prepare and serve communion and represent the Congregation during baptisms and when new members join the Church. These are some of the more visible activities, but there is also much happening behind the scenes.

Diaconate members design the Circle of Care cards that are signed during coffee hour, visit Church members at home or in the hospital, and represent the Church at funerals and memorial services.  At Christmas, flowers and cookies are delivered to members unable to attend Church.
