The affairs and concerns of the Church, spiritual and temporal, are conducted, managed and controlled by the Executive Council on behalf of the church, with ratification of council decisions and actions at periodic meetings of the entire Congregation.
The Executive Council consists of the Moderator, Clerk, Treasurer, the Chairpersons of the Trustees, Diaconate, Board of Religious Education, Ushers, Music Committee and Stewardship Committee, the President of the Women’s Association and three Members-at-Large elected by the congregation. The Minister is an ex officio member of the Council, without vote.
In addition to its leadership functions, the Council also takes on special projects on behalf of the church. Recent activities include a thorough review of the church by-laws, a study of church ministries and activities and how they interact, and a focus on communications and membership.
