How You Can Help In This Time
Many organizations are working to respond to the coronavirus outbreak in our community. Some can use volunteers, all can use donations. A few suggestions:
Gleaners United Way
North Church People Helping
Byron and Abby Turner are sewing masks to be donated to hospitals. We are contacting teachers, family, friends & neighbors to join us, providing them with the recommended pattern to use. We’ll be putting a collection box on our porch and will deliver them.
As we move through Lent, our focus will be on the plans God has for the church, the community of people gathered to share the good news. On Sundays, we’ll hear from Mark’s gospel, on the ways Jesus equipped us to live out and to share the good news.
During March and April, the Nominating Committee will be looking for people who want to help shape North Church's future goals and activities.
We are seeking nominations for the following new Ministry Boards:
Assets & Resources – responsible for church finances, building, and grounds
Diaconate – responsible for the spiritual care of the Congregation, and the sacraments
Education – responsible for children, youth, and adult education
Fellowship - responsible for our social and fellowship activities
Missions - responsible for our mission and community outreach
Worship – responsible (with our Sr. Minister) for the design and
conduct of our worship services (including music and the usher team)
More information about these positions is outlined in the draft Policy Manual which may be found in the Member's Corner on this site.
Let us know about your interest or recommendations by contacting our Moderator (email@example.com). You can also call or e-mail the Church office.
