ADVENT & CHRISTMAS!
Advent, a season of preparation for the coming of Christ, begins four weeks before Christmas, on Sunday, Nov. 28. This year’s observance includes both North Church traditions and some new elements that have been developed during these times of social distancing.
In mid-November, we’ll be sending a special Advent/Christmas edition of the Newsletter with our events, our missions activities, instructions on how to order poinsettias in memory or honor of loved ones, and much more.
BOOK GROUP – Wednesday, December 15th @ 1:00 PM
The Book group will be meeting at church, or via Zoom (a change from our original plan) to discuss favorite cookbooks, and holiday traditions. Bring yours to share! Please contact Rev. Mimi Biedron for the Zoom link.
The Women’s Fellowship and Missions Board are once again happy to sponsor the Knitting Tree and
the Christmas Stocking. Get your needles, crochet hooks, and dollars ready to support this good cause!
You can bring in your homemade or store-bought hats, gloves, mittens, and scarves, and hang them on the tree.
Infant through adult socks can be put in the Christmas Stocking. All of these items will be donated to a charity in January. In years past we have delivered to Lighthouse, Farmington Public Schools, and Crossroads.
Christmas Pageant Live—Sunday, December 12, 2021
One of the special holiday traditions for North Church and our Sunday school children is the
Christmas Pageant. Our pageant includes scripture readings by the older teens, and a Nativity tableau
by the Sunday school students. This year the North Church Youth will be performing a live version of the Christmas pageant in the sanctuary, during the church service. Come and join us!
