Our Covenant

All members of North Church affirm the Church Covenant, which reads:

Acknowledging our desire for Divine guidance, we promise to cooperate with the members of this Church in the study and practice of that law which Jesus taught as supreme: “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.”

We do now cordially enter into covenant with this Church, engaging to submit to its order and discipline until dismissed.  We promise to support its services.  We seek the advancement of truth in our world and in our personal lives.

As Christians, Congregationalists believe in God and seek to be followers of Jesus. As a worshiping community we respect each other’s individual faith and diversity of thought. We believe we are called upon to support one another in life’s journey and affirm the sacredness of all creation.

With the help of God and through the teachings of Jesus, we seek truth and guidance in all that we do.

We use no creed as a test of faith, but call upon each other to serve God and others in ways that are uplifting to God’s creation.
